On average, a residential inspection process takes 3-4 hours to complete and includes the following areas of the property. Over 400 components are inspected within the following major systems:

- Siding, Trim, Exterior Windows, Garage Doors-General condition of each
- Roof, Chimney, Flashing, Valleys-Evidence of water penetration, materials and condition
- Gutters, Downspouts-General condition, effects of dampness in basement and ability to carry off rainwater
- Landscaping - Proper grading and the effects on the foundation
- Driveways, Patios, Porches, Decks-General condition of each
- Air conditioner compressor
Interior Components
- Basement, Structure- Foundation soundness and evidence of moisture
- Walls, Floors, Ceilings, Windows - General condition of each
- Attic- Visible roof sheathing, framing, insulation and ventilation
- Electrical System– Service panel, service entrance, grounding, visible wires and random testing of outlets and light fixtures
- Plumbing System - Functional flow and distribution of water supply, fixtures, faucets, interior drain and waste system, hot water system, chimney, flues and vents
- Heating System- Visible portion of heating equipment
